Fading Tear Stains

by Anjelika   May 30, 2005

I so nervously tried in vain,
To be with you once again,
It only caused me excruciating pain,
Drenching my pillows in fading tear stains,
As I look at the stars, the illuminating spots of light,
I dream of your body next to me, as we hold each other tight,
And here I am, trembling in seclusion,
I still think of our love, the whithering illusion,
Be gone! Flee my thoughts! Leave not a trace!
Banish your kiss from my lips, abolish from my mind your face!
My beautiful Tara, sweet maiden who should've been my bride,
Leave of my presence now, and let the pain subside,
Confuse me so rapidly, I need you like I need air!
And yet you betray me, and leave me in despair,
Needn't you call my name no longer!
Needn't you have me to feel stronger!
I haven't a thought of what to do,
I still feel as if I desperately need you!
I need you near me! I simply do!
You don't need me anymore, and you know it in your mind,
My beautiful Tara, sweet maiden, who was so ever kind,
You utter those three heart trembling words, and claim you speak of veracity,
I beg to differ completely, your sheer voice speaks only mendacity,
I will not let you control me! I will not let my veins be tangled and strained,
Slit my throat with your kiss, and rid my heart of the pain!
