Becoming my own

Woke up early today
in my usual, ordinary way
the sun has risen
yet i still feel imprisoned
trapped in a sea of emotion
one day my life changed
and you showed me the rightr way
choices cause consequences
and consequences cause perserverance
the life everyone wants for me
is not what I feel it needs to be
i lie in the darkness
and think about the day
how my life used to be
and how it is today
my life is not perfect
nor anyone else
but my consequences had a mega affect
and now i live my life for myself
everything can just slip away
unpredictable and in a moments time
what you love can be lost
but for myself, i am mine!
