The Lonely Heart

by claire   Oct 9, 2003

I laughed at those who said they loved
I said I like alot
Their love was buying gifts and toys
I said love can't be bought

I turned to them and tried to shout
stop living lies and dreams
but the lovers laughed and turned their heads
at least that's how it seemed

I never stopped to think awhile
that maybe they were right
if we can love somebody
we should love with all our might

and so my life was long and hard
and lonely too,
you see,
because I never cared to love
noone ever loved me
