Hunger

by claire   Jun 24, 2006

Hunger first
isn't real
it's only want
it makes me feel

hunger second
tastes so fine
body yearns
body pines

hunger third
stomach churns
legs weak
they will learn

hunger fourth
sleep in late
all day long
coffee break

hunger fifth
hunger gone
bodies weak
will is strong

hunger sixth
stay in bed
too weak to cry
wish I was dead

hunger seven
thinner still
disappearing
an act of will

hunger eight
my body screams
hurts so good
it haunts my dreams

hunger nine
almost there
one more day
of this despair

hunger ten
hold on tight
not one slip
not one bite

hunger now
and hunger then
hunger one
or hunger ten
food is sin
I feast on pain
ever stop...
forever gain
