Changing Classes

by .:*Nicole*:.   May 31, 2005

The first bell rings
With a shrill, high-pitched sound
Then doors crash open
And noisy kids come spilling out
All yelling and conversing with
Their friends
Breaking the silence
Locks on the lockers are being
Jiggled and clicking as they open
Then they fly open with a bang
And squeak at the hinges
Supervisors shout at
Misbehaving kids
5 minutes left, the music starts
Blaring and emitting familiar tunes
Lockers slam shut
Students rush to their classes
Saying their last words
To their friends
Before they become separated
In different classes
And become silent in their desks
Slowly, quietly, teachers
Shut the doors
With a click as it latches
Soon, it will start all over again
