Wishes

I am the smartest in the class,
the best of the best,
I've completed every task,
but I have to confess...

All my achievements are fake,
I have no one to share my bliss,
I've cried a whole lake,
for I haven't had my first kiss.

Though I've tried and tried,
nerd was my new name,
I've cried and I've cried,
why do I feel so ashamed??

I ate lunches alone,
I talked to the dolls in my room,
I've never used the phone,
I am in such terrible gloom.

In this world, I haven't gone far,
no one ever cared nor will,
every night I wish upon a star,
moping by my windowsill.

I wish to be loved,
I wish to say I love you,
if im lucky, he might come from above,
and maybe say I love you too.

Until my dreams come true,
I will have to wait,
first, life is what I have to get through,
but I wish to soon find my soulmate.
