I made the crowd go wild tonight...
I made the director jump up and down...
I made the world think that I'm reaching new heights...
I made myself believe I was wanted in this town.

So why weren't you there for me?
So why did you say you would be here?
So why are you complaining about the fee?
So why instead were you there?

I had hopes to make you proud,
I had hopes to act again,
I had hopes to please the crowd,
I had hopes since I was ten.

You knocked them down and said NO WAY!
You made me believe I wasn't good enough!
You scolded me, "be a doctor" was all you could say!
You made me think that I wasn't tough!

And now I cry, knowing that you don't care,
And now I know why you broke your vow,
And now I see why you were never fair,
And now I die inside with my final bow.
