The Smoke Has Finally Cleared

by Noir Fleur   Jun 3, 2005

I have won the war
because I have you ahold.
I have you for me, myself, and I,
or so I am being told.

I used to waste away
waiting for you to come around
I would be constantly dormant,
uttering not one single sound.

After many long, weary fights,
the smoke has finally cleared.
The outcome of the feuds
is exactly what she always feared.

You are no longer hers,
but rather mine to keep for good,
all because I kept in my mind,
not should, could, but would.

She can beg and cry,
grovel, scream, and plead.
My mind is made up, though,
and now she shall forever bleed.

This is a life lesson
she should remember always.
Believing she is better than others
never, ever pays.

Worry not, for eternity
because she will soon find a new man,
But will continue keeping in her mind
I will always do better than she can.
