I'm Watching You

by Eden   Jun 3, 2005

Rot away...
Keep on running...
I am not yet panting to keep within reach of your sweaty skin.
Skim the waters of tranquility with a breath of life...
I am right behind you, with a calmness of my own named Death.
She runs along side me, always watching whom I despise.

For I am above you.
There is not heart within me...
...Only a cold reminisce of what everyone else has accomplished for their interest on my deadened body.
I gave in long ago.
Could you not see that coming in contact with me was like breathing in the Black Plague?
Now you thought you had changed me...
...Had seen me for who I was.
Now, however...you lie.
So I will never rest until my betrothed sleeps...
...A neverending cycle until I scrape your unsheathed back's muscles with my own decrepit nails.
I would never think to drink such an Abomination's blood...for you reek of the simplicity of the world...the calousness of all that history has to offer...
But it will be most entertaining to watch you writhe in pain and agony on the earthen floor that I have corrupted just for you...

...So, if you wish...
Keep on running.
I will never tire.
I will never die.
Death is my soul-mate now...
...As you could never have hoped to be.
Goodbye, my fee for living.
You thought you could own up to so much as a whisper from me.
Now you are.
