Material Girl

by GemmaR   Jun 3, 2005

The desk job nine til nine
Not enough time to survive
A rat race picking up its pace
Give it all to gain a place

You want to be top of your class
So don't let the opportunity pass
Work hard for material things
Find the comfort status brings

Make sure you pass each test
Not enough to just do your best
At night take your work home
Then you won't feel so alone

Find a face and fit it in
Make your body built to win
Always wear a telling smile
When you're on top of the pile

Never give your self away
No faults can you ever portray
Keep all feelings curled inside
Never show the girl you hide

Be young, beautiful and bold
Take it all before you are old
Work fast to have it all now
It only lasts as long as you allow

This is what it's all about
Turning up the heat to burn it out
Standing tall to waste away
Willing product of urban decay
