Frozen in Love

by Prince Enigma   Jun 4, 2005

***********************************************
The perfect couple, the Romeo and Juliet,
High school sweethearts from the very start,
Homecoming queen and state champ,
Nothing could ever keep these two apart.

Like the soaring sky and wavy ocean together,
With bitter moments, one would turn blue,
One would turn the other's frown upside down,
Because the other always knew what to do.

Like a rainy rainfall, like a benevolent rainbow,
There was always a pot of gold in their end,
With forbidden laughter and joy,
Their treasured love was a godsend.

Like an incomplete jigsaw puzzle,
They friendship could never ever cease,
It was almost like they were meant to be,
They were each other's missing piece.

But as many know, good things don't last forever,
People change as the hourglass flies by,
One had to move, one made new friends,
The perfect couple, a lovable girl and guy.

One stormy night, she was reading a book,
A present from her special boy long time ago,
Inside was a hand-written letter,
"If we ever depart, our love will always grow"

With that, she decided to fly out to see him,
She had to know if their love was true,
So she packed her bags, booked a late flight,
She had no idea what she was getting into.

The moment of truth, she is at his doorsteps,
Long behold, another woman answers the door,
Filled with disappointment and unhappiness,
Her sorrowful eyes almost started to pour.

She can't handle it anymore, "where is the love of my life!"
He is long gone now, I am his ex-wife,
Slowly another story is about to unfold,
As she sits to listen in the chilling cold.

She finds out that he died in a plane crash,
Because he was on the way to see her,
He left it all, broke off the marriage,
How could this happen, the perfect couple, we were . . .

"Happy? In love, is that what you call it?
You took my husband away from me!"
The door slams, she turns around,
Dashes towards the nearest tree.

As her head lowers down in shame between her knees,
"Why god? Why me? What did I do to deserve this disease?"
She lets out woeful cries of "Please save me, please, please"
Hours later,a frozen body is found in the deadly winter freeze.
