STAR

by 2litl2l8   Jun 4, 2005

Lying in her room alone
Afraid of what is in this home
A crack in the door light has shone

Here she walks through snarly tree
Dark, damp, cold, falling to her knee
Wondering why, why me

For relief she looks to her star
Away she goes in her mind so far
Putting the pain the feeling in a jar

Each night she dreads this visiting thing
In this dreadful place her heart cannot sing
Every night looking at the stars wishing

No one she can trust no one to confide
Letters from her dad, that thing did hide
Her own blood with it did side

Every night to god she prayed
Please just end my awful parade
But soon her faith in god did fade

When all was lost her heart it did bind
When she barley even had her mind
Away she went for safety to find

Time passed a year went by
Slowly she began to grow wings to fly
Here she met a lonely lost guy

She says I rescued her saved her life
I don't think I can fully understand her strife
I love her helped her, made her my wife

She says she forgives this thing in her past
Locked in all up sealed with a clasp
But I know those feelings will last

I just hold her love her take her far
And when up comes her old jar
She looks at me instead of her star
