Fatefull Night

I could hardly believe it
you finally asked me out
you wouldn't believe how happy i was
i just wanted to scream and shout

our date was set at the beach
you sat close holding my hand
watching the setting sun
as we dug our toes in the sand

you slowly leaned in near to me
and we shared a passionate kiss
for those few brief moments
my life was simply bliss

we soon pulled apart
and in my eyes you stared
you held me close
and for once i knew someone cared

later that night you dropped me home
and kissed my lips goodnight
regretfully i waited outside
and watched you drive out of site

i turned away with a smile on my face
i heard a loud noise
and ran towards you
without haist

within minutes the site was crowded
there was an ambulance and police everywhere
i caught a horrifying glimps of you
...none of this seems fair...

earlier that day
everything was goin great
none of this seemed possible
i couldn't believe this was our fate

i arrived at the hospital
in time to see them cover your face
they should have atleast tried
to revive you just in case...

the funeral was horrible
a tear in every eye
they lowred your casket into the snow
as i vowed it wasn't goodbye

that night when i got home
i cried for hours on end
my heart was once again broken
this time to an extent it wouldnt be able to mend

i was so shattered and torn
i thought about taking my life
i thought about overdosing
and then i considered the knife

but i knew that wasn't what you would have wanted
you would have wanted me to live
you would have wanted me to find someone else
and him my love to give

it maight take a while
but exactly that i'll do
while DOING that,ill keep in my heart
the love i possess for you
