Forgotten, Forever

by Samantha   Jun 7, 2005

Disturbed waters,
The ocean below;
Tell me something
I don't yet know
And sing to me
A lullabye that's both
Soft and sweet,
When the sky falls
And my pillow and head
Seductively meet.

My dreams
While I sleep;
Forever do they keep
Me locked away,
In a world where
I pray
For happiness-
Only to find
Fate never had
Happiness in mind

My grip slips,
Seems like the world
Has forgotten me.
Without my presence,
The world is settling.
Cries shouted out
In the blue skies overhead;
Over the wailing
You didn't hear
A thing I've said.

    I loved the first paragraph, so strong and flowing...the rest went nicely as well, don't fear, but the first just stuck out above the rest.
