Getting shots

by Brooke   Jun 7, 2005

"Now hold still this will hurt just a bit"
She shoved that shot in me and my eyes lit.

A tear dribbled down my cheek
If it didn't hurt so much I wouldn't act like a freak.

It took so long, cause my veins are so tiny
They don't really have to figure out whats wrong with me.

Finally the shot comes out
The whole hospital could've heard me shout.

Finally I won't have to go through that again
Giving shots should be a sin.

"Now we have to inject medicine in your hip"
I dreaded the needles sharp tip.

It didn't hurt as much as drawing blood
I cried so much it looked like there had been a flood.

"Come back next week for more"
The nurse said as I was running for the door.

{It pained me so much to write this sad poem}-joke but it is a true story.
