Wow, I think you just pretty much explained my life- except for the father drinking part. I have recently reached my rock bottom. I've grown up with an abusive father.. physical and verbal. Been sexually abused numerous times... from grade school to high school. I've recently learned to look at the brighter side. I was a cutter for 4 years, I just stopped about 3 weeks ago. Anyway..This is an extremely well written poem. Did you have an experiance like this.. I don't know how you could have put so much feeling into it if you haven't. Amazing poet! 5
