Fearful Truth

by Laura Gillespie   Jun 10, 2005

A star winks, A moon hides.
You and I are not alive,
But we could be. Rain falls
Just like my tears. But the sun
Shines like my smile, when you’re around.

One spoken word; doesn't mean anything,
Means a lot. A sorrowful look speaks
When the weeping willows are dead.
A flower blooms, but quickly dies…
A heart breaks, when one is loved.

A breath of death, or a kiss “hello”
Can hide within a heart of gold…
A secret yet not uncovered, but fears
Lie in front of a face that’ll run.
A drop of blood that faces a rainfall
Of horror and frightens the soul.
