Come Home Soon

by Jennifer   Jun 12, 2005

When I see that uniform
and that paint on your face -
it makes me so scared,
my heart begins to race.

I don't want to see you hold that gun,
I don't want to see you hold that knife,
you've got to come home to me
and make me your wife.

Please be careful baby,
I'll pray for you every night -
let her wrap her wings around you, she'll protect you from the fight.

With my heart in your hands,
and my kisses in your heart -
I promise you baby...
we won't fall apart.

Just remember my arms around you
and how you play with my hair,
meet me in your dreams
I promise I'll see you there.

God knows how I feel about you -
He knows I want you home;
I get so scared sometimes baby,
I don't want to be alone.

No matter what happens
my feelings will stay the same;
you still hold my heart,
locked down with chains...

I really miss you baby,
please come home soon;
in case something does happen,
I'll meet you above the moon.
