A unique take on an interesting topic. This poem makes me think about all the 'artifical' people in todays society.

Watch out for spelling and grammar in some places. I liked the story and flow of this poem. Sometimes the rhyme scheme felt a bit forced.

I used to wear make up when I was your age. Never went anywhere without it and one day my Boyfriend/pal (lol) came over unexpected and told me I looked better without it. For what ever reason that hit me so hard and I haven't worn make up but once or twice since then. I did to my companys christmas party and I think on my birthday two years ago. People get so caught up in what they think is "beauty" and lose sight of the what's REALLY BEAUTIFUL and you show that. This was a very well done piece.....Nice write Coonay!!

  • wow that was such a great analogy! i dont even know how to describe how excellent this was! your so talented! i loved the ending to!

True beauty can be hard to discover. This poem is beyond excellent. I absolutely love it. A lot of people (esp girls in the more literal way) can relate to this. Thank you! Keep writing like this; it's perfect.
