Poison

by ♥Munchkin♥   Jun 13, 2005

Whispers of doubt,
Images of uncaring,
Claiming you're unfit as a lover,
Pushing them away I try to see you,
The real you I fell for completely,
Trying to pull you through the dark clouds,
Attempting to bring you close again to me,
Again I hear "he doesn't treat you right"
"You're one in a million and he doesn't see that"
And again I resist their messages,
And try once more,
Straining to hold you with me,
To return you to our destiny,
Persisting they put you down,
And make me seem like I'm better than you,
They're only trying to help me,
But in truth they're tainting my mind,
Blurring the line between right and wrong,
Doubting my faith and trust in you,
Creating an unsure haze around your love for me,
To me they are true friends,
Caring, loving and the best I could ask for,
To you and to us they are poison!

I agree with baby girl. Friends can only give advice but can never put words in your mouth to say. What ever fits you can be it. Also it's kind of hard to determine this situation because it more than one friend vs. him. Very good poem
