Love Hurts...CONTINUED

I've had too much experience with this,
My heart breaking that is,
It's a slow process of realizing what happened,
Then comes the pain setting in slow and steadily,
Or it comes in an instant,
So fast that the pain is almost unbearable,
This one came fast,
Like a slap in the face!
"Why did you do it?"
He asked choking on the pain that filled his pounding head,
"It was only a goodbye kiss."
I said more confident than anything,
"That's not what he said..."
Then comes the first tear,
The first tear of an eternity of tears,
The pain starts from the inside then works its way out,
Until all you've lost is your pride, dignity, and anything else that truly matters,
All I can say about this lost love,
Is that I'll love him forever no matter what he thinks of me,
Because I know he still loves me,
He just needs to find the room to forgive me...
