Dying Young and Full of Fear

by Amy   Jun 14, 2005

Hidden feelings and wrapped up thoughts
All sizes, all shapes, all sorts.

Camouflaged from all that’s sad
Never daring and never bad.

Sheltered beneath her parents lives
She cut herself with dirty knives.

Eyes wide shut and arms held down
No sudden movements, no smile, no frown.

A pool of glistening ruby blood
Stains the floor where she last stood.

Whispered voices, shattered dreams
Singing out between the screams.

Silence broke out after the cries
Behind a rose hedge is where she lies.

Only she knows the reason why
She felt that she had to die.
