Raven

by Luz   Jun 15, 2005

Lonley midnight sky so dreary
Spanish eyes cry still teary
Modern poem about the raven
Heart so broken, still concaving

Just look up to heavens sky
Now ask your god "Why Oh Why"
Hear the raven at the door
Turn around try to ignore

Louder and louder the raven knocks
Ponder should I or should I not
Open the door, the raven stares
Turn arpund pretend its not there

Mocking eyes look through your soul
deadly whispers beyond control
Broken heart, pain to the core
When will it heal, Nevermore

Worst word in the English language
Try to ignore it, desperate and frantic
Raven perched upon your shoulder
The night moves on, the air gets colder

Pain is permanent, the raven stays
Grows larger and larger as you fade away
Nothing to do to get rid of this specter
Slowly draining your life's sweet nectar

Pain is permanent, let hope go
The raven is here it's beyond control
Ask the raven just once more
Will you be happy, Nevermore
