My Dad

by Adinda   Jun 16, 2005

A man of normal posture
Wearing glasses on his head
Trying to walk with a bad limb
And getting bit too fat

He’s working the whole day long
To get some money to safe
Sitting after the computer
Forcing him to behave

At home, he acts differently
Living towards other aims
Sadness, but also having fun
While he is playing games

Carrying about two children
Comforting you when you’re sad
He wants to let you feel better
Even when you’ve been bad

Running and romping with the dog
When we are all together
Telling each other his stories
To look which is better

I know where I’m talking about
The best man I’ve ever met
This is the day to honor him
It is a dad, my dad

I made this poem for my dad for dads day and belief me, he is the best dad I could ever imagine. Please vote. It would mean a lot to me.

That is really sweet that you wrote this for your dad. Sometimes I wish I could be closer to mine. Take care.
