Sonnet for You

The memory of your beautiful face
Brings a yearning into my empty heart
And when I go back to that special place
My seething emotions are torn apart

For too long have I led this merry dance
With you, who knows nothing of my desire
Just hoping for a quick look or a glance
to fan the flames of loves eternal fire

When you smile your eyes are incandescent
They shine with the light of a thousand stars
You are my past, my future, my present
You are my Venus and I am your Mars

I think of you wherever I may be
