Awe Was The Word

by Kim   Jun 18, 2005

Awe was the word I thought I might have said,
But nothing came out for what I might dread,
I thought of a way to get through this night,
Keeping in mind that it will be alright,
Awe was a way I talked of my friend,
To get her to stay awhile at my ben,
Not much was heard from what we thought,
I could not close those thoughts of such,
With our ice-cream in hand we kept moving on,
One foot forward through the grass land,
Awe that was great to see her standing there,
Someone as special to hold his big hand,
Minding her neighbors as she was of gold,
Memories of them like they were her own,
Awe was all that she ever knew,
When family stopped by as they always do,
But now that she's here I keep thinking how,
Her memory is clear of what she's doing now,
No more wondering of how this will end,
But how she felt to look at him,
