I couldn't even be there
be there to say goodbye
i couldn't even be there
to hold your hand and cry
i wish so much that you wouldn't cry the way you did that day
while thinking of the many things we didn't get to say
i know how much you cared for me
as much as i cared for you
and i hope each time that you think about me i hope you'll miss me too
we can look back on the yesterdays the good ones and the bad and think of all of the laughs and jokes we made and all of the fun we had
if i could relive yesterday just even for a while i would give a big hug and kiss and maybe see a smile
so when we think about our past we know we have the memories but now we must move on even with a frown
just don't let the past hold you down
