Stop asking me questions!

Why hasn’t the past left me?
I have all these unanswered questions in me,
that I don't want to answer.
I don't want to find out,
what happened.
Just let everything be.

You tell me it has to do with something from the past,
I say it doesn't.

You don't know what happened in the past.
I got beaten,
bruised,
kicked around,
bashed around.

I'm trying not to remember,
but you're making me remember,
when you ask me all these questions.
Just let everything be as it is.

I forgot everything
until you asked me.

I don't need to remember,
I was beaten,
raped,
abused.

Stop asking me questions,
and let my life go on.

I want to forget
everything that happened
