Lets call it a shame
lets call it the truth
if you would tell me these words
I was always searching for
I would sit down
and attentively listen to you

if you would take my hand
and show me the life I could live instead
it would only be more painful
to hold up my head

if you would try to protect me
from the rest of the world
you would find out soon
that it’s often myself
who makes me feel hurt

you could try your best
to show me all the good things I don’t see
