Like a tree

by Kane Burden   Jun 19, 2005

Like a tree
planted within my garden of eden.
Your changing with the seasons
was hard to cope with
but stayed by you
to watch over and water you when needed.
Forever growing taller and more colorful then before.
We had our summers
and we had our falls.
Then your roots were severed
it broke my heart
thought it would last
but apparently not forever.
Now your roots no longer grow here
the seasons have changed
Autumn has come
and brought with it the rain.
What seemed green before
is dark instead
your leafs have fallen
must move on instead.
