Let me let go
Don’t tell me you love me
It hurts my heart so
I already moved on
My heart stayed behind I know

This smile I hide behind is so unreal
I look away so no one sees the tears
Honestly all the pain I do still feel
Please stop and let me be
I can’t move on
When you say you love me

To that I can’t reply
Although my heart tells me to
My mind tells me all my feelings I should deny
We both know who wins this fight
My heart of course it won’t let me lie

But please answer this
Why now do you want to try?
Why did you say we could never be?
Didn’t you see me cry?
Why did you leave me?
You didn’t want to try, why?
You want back in right, so it wasn’t to be free?

Honestly just let me be
You tore my heart apart and this you know
I know if I go back again you will flee
So for now all my feelings I will not show
I will hold everything inside for you not to see
There is one thing I will continue to ask though
Please just let me let go!
