Cut The Strings

by Emma Carnage   Jun 21, 2005

Don’t take everything so seriously
Life is but a game
That’s what it will always be
But isn’t it a shame
You’ll never get out alive
But you can’t get over the fact
That in the end you won’t survive
Your mind just sort of cracked

Cheer up sunshine
It’s really not that bad
It won’t help to whine
Nothing will bring back the life you had
You’re going to die in the end
Just like all those normal people
It’s going to happen, don’t pretend
So go right ahead and jump off a steeple

It’ll hurt once it’s time
Who knows how you’ll go
But it won’t be sublime
Especially if it’s slow
Then the pain will be so great
You’ll just want to get up and run
But by then it’ll be too late
You should just end it with a gun

Life and death are funny things
People think death is flying away on wings
But it’s really once you cut the strings

Go ahead and take a dive
You’ll never get out alive
