Sunrise

by Lyudmila   Jun 22, 2005

From velvet skies shine silvery stars,
It's quiet, I hear no noisy cars.
Suddenly, a bird begins to sing,
I turn and see a beautiful thing.
Blazing colour grips the edge of the sky,
The yellow and crimson catch my eye.
Over the horizon, dawn breaks anew,
And my heart grows warm with thoughts of you.
