To You, Mom

by Rachel   Jun 22, 2005

How can you not see,
That it's hurting me?
It's breaking me,
Slowly, day by day.
I have no one to look up to.
How does it feel
To be hurting your own daughter?
Take a good hard look
Look what it's doing to me
I've had this hole of emptiness
Inside of me for so long.
I can't take this anymore
Wasting every tear on you,
You don't even notice them.
You're not worth my tears.
So thank you Mom,
Thank you for making this life
More miserable than it already was.
I have one question for you,
If you weren't going to be there,
If you knew you would hurt me,
Then why did you have me..?

*thanks for reading.*

This poem brought tears to my eyes. No one should ever feel like that, and you shouldnt even have to ask yourself those questions. It seems like parents can't even see how their actions can tear their children apart. Stay strong and I hope things can get better. Oh by the way, excellent poem
