Why are people judging our race?

by Biaytbo   Jun 22, 2005

Why are people judging our race?
By the look on our face, why can’t they see we are all equal in so many ways?
Living our own life by our own pace
Until depression strikes us
The pressure to be a certain way haunts us everyday
Worrying about what people say
Should lead us to pray
We should try to make this world better by sticking together

The colors of our skin doesn't make any more or less
It doesn't matter how we dress
We’re such a big mess
Carried with such stress
Do you ever stop and think that if there weren’t any racism in our world young teens would still be by their parent’s side instead of committing Suicide
Peace is our guide to stop such ignorance

This can be done; we can all come as one
Be bright as the sun
Each and every single one of us is different
Were unique, equality is what we seek
So people aren’t who you are
So you begin to detest because you think you’re the best from the rest
Why can’t we see the truth that lies beneath ourselves with our hearts?

Instead of what our eyes see
We should be able to feel free
This is the way it’s meant to be
As we can learn to forget
We can learn to respect
Instead of neglect
This is the land of the free
Well this is not what I see
Love and respect, be kind use your mind
We can reach levels you thought we’d never achieve
Lets follow the right path
When we can all come together and be strong delete the wrong

See that light, a beautiful sight
I am a reflection of who you are
I am a star, judge me from afar
But I’ll always keep loving you for who you are
I need to take action
To change all this wrong
I need to finish my story
And find where I belong
Who need prophecies telling us about destruction?
When our life helps this world function
If life were not alive our beautiful planet would not thrive
I have much to accomplish
In this existing form
But lack of money and time
Fuels this chaotic storm

From the smallest creature to the cities we have built
It’s like a rainbow of colors we have spilt
So much life and joy in one place
It’s a feeling of heaven grace
A beautiful world is all around
I’m so glad that I have found
My piece of mind to help me see
How glorious this world can be

My priorities are backwards
I don’t know what back wards So I default to lack of interest
My motivation from greed
Creative machines
Generating calculated clones
Entertain the mindless drones
Manufactured emotions
Etched onto synthetic disks of originality and uniqueness

The tears American’s cried, now they fall
They fall from different people’s sad hearts
Yet we are seen as wrong
How are other beliefs seen as right?
Must battles continue? Must hate be used?
This war was never considered correct
So why do we shoot, kill and end our world with this massacre
Innocent people, how can we be great?

When our country is no better than them
How do we justify theirs also?
So are Americans not all hypocrites
Are we not doing what they once have done?
The tears from their eyes are the same we cried
Yet we are right and they are some how wrong
Oh how the world is so confusing
How Americans have double standards
And I doubt I will never understand
What my generation has caused
A child cries, a mother screams,
Can you feel the pain in which hatred brings.
A man dies, a fire burns,
Is this what we get In return.
A house is robbed, A person shot,
I think there’s something that we forgot.
A forest burns, A death hits all,
is there something I can do to keep the world from a fall.
A nation stands together, an army stands tall,
we are the ones who are gonna fight it all.

The key to peace? Without a soul, without a passion
See the world, Strong in body and spirit
Stay involved in life, be involved
It would be a whole lot easier if they came with instructions
You can make a difference
Do something important; you feel something in the air
Preserve the past while reinventing itself for the future
Mirror, mirror…
My work is poetic, energetic, shocking
Own your moment in time
To find out where you stand
How to fix our intelligence
Cause a mind is a terrible thing to waste

I am independent, I am strong
I make my own choices even if they're wrong
I am opinionated, I am proud
That doesn't make me pig-headed
That doesn't make me loud
I want to be an equal, Not inferior to the rest
That doesn't mean I'll do the accepted thing,
That doesn't mean I'm the best

I'm not conceited, I am confident
I am not dominating, I am intelligent
Come get to know me, see who I am on the inside
You'll learn I am a woman
I hold that with pride

Well at the start you rhyming i thought was a bit too forced. like i wish it was left as race and ways, cause they do half rhyme too. but still wat you talked bout was very intruiging.
