Trust

I just don't understand, why people do the things they do.
Making promises to you one minute, then breaking them in two.
All these people who claim, to be a trusting friend,
Go and break your promises, and hurt you in the end.
One thing that I know now, and that wasn't hard to learn,
Is trust is hard to come by, and quite difficult to earn.
So when someone hands you their trust, don't let it slip away.
Hold it tightly in your hand, where it should always stay.
