My heart is a construction site

The reason i get up in the morning
the reason i live,
for my heart is a construction site,
and you are the building bricks

Sat out on in the freezing cold
on a bench white as snow.
I called you and said i wouldn't leave
before you had confronted me.

for there was something i needed to say
something hanging over my head
I am in love with you darling
and that will never change.

But I messed things up, i made a mistake
I wont the whole world to know
that what we had, was simply great
and that my love for you can only grow.

I wish i could turn back time,
And correct my faults
But when i look back, the stairs are no longer there
all i can do is plummet, or move straight ahead instead.

    Ah yes, I can totally relate with this one. You are really poetic and romantic, how could this girl noot love you;) The last phrase is the best in my opinion.

    It is so true, I have had so many situations where I've left someone because they werent in my eyes 'perfect' and i simply dont regret any of it, because i know there is someone amazing waiting out there that suits me perfectly and that i see eye to eye with. That, is love, and all these other bricks of life are the building blocks of future relationships. They all lead up to that perfect 'one' that is why i move on after break ups.

    I love that! I always thought "Darling" was such a cute term for the one you love! Great write! Whoever she is, I hope she sees the real you and that she sees you falling...Hopefully she'll catch you!
