That Girl

by Rachel   Jun 24, 2005

She's tired of herself,
She's tired of her life.
All the expectations,
Cause her to use the knife.

She just wants
To please them all,
but failed indignantly
and started to fall.

Crying and lying
That's all she did.
Her tears and slits
Were things she hid.

All she wanted
Was someone to care.
To fix her again
Someone who was there.

That girl was trapped
And wanted to be free
I'm sorry to say
That that girl was me.

I really like how you described the girl, and then at the end tell the reader it is you. I like this because sometimes I feel like I've changed so much that I'm just watching myself, as this girl I dont even know. great poem
