Choice

by Artemis   Jun 24, 2005

Who needs school she thinks in her mind,
All she needs to know on the internet she can find.
She is hated at school,
Laughed at by the so called cool.
Teased and made fun of,
And more then just the things above.
She is called a b****; a screw up too,
No wonder is always sad and blue.
She cries to herself when she’s alone,
She wished she could turn to stone.
At least then she’d be gone for good,
And wish that someone did care she would.
There are a few, who care,
That stand by her; that are there.
She appreciates it with all her heart,
And leaving them rips her apart.
She asks herself what else is there,
But gets nothing; at least nothing fair.
She decides to leave with great regret,
And on that day her future she set.
No more friendship or love,
No more help from above.
She was on her own; alone and scared,
To defend herself from those who cared.
She didn’t want to lose them; not again,
So walked away she did on the count of ten.
No going back; no friendships to mend,
And that choice she made in the end.
