The Darkness Within

by Ryan Schneider   Jun 25, 2005

The darkness within,
lurking in the shadows of your soul.
While you live,
it waits.

It waits just like a parasite,
while you continue to live your life.
Until the day you need it most,
like anger towards another host.

This darkness that lives within your heart,
cannot be lifted part by part.
It stays within,
locked away.
Until the day you feel that pain.

After which it lies again,
for this curse can never end.
