The Closet

by MadlyInLove   Jun 26, 2005

The fights and the anger
a scared little girl
her tiny hands covering her ears
and her eyes closed tight as well.

As tears run down her cheeks
silence she cries out for
as the punches start
and they are right outside her door.

She doesn't know what to do
she doesn't know where to go
she hears her mothers cry of pain
and her continually scream no.

But her father wont listen
for his anger is raging
for no actual big reason
just to give a beating.

The little girl cant stand it
as she lays on her bed
her knees up to her chin
with which she lays her head.

She runs into the closet
and sits there to hide
rolled up like a tiny ball
her heart breaking inside.

She hugs her doll
as more tears fall down
no more yells can be heard through the doors
her cry is the only sound.

This is where she'll be
this is where she'll hide
her special spot in this world
where no hurt can be found inside.

The safest place is in the closet
where no one can reach her
until the day it was discovered
and she couldn't again go there.

So again when the yells started
she had no place to go
for they would find her in the closet
and always they would know.

~sorry this is so long but please comment about it~
