A Lion and What I Thought to be My God

by Caleb   Jun 27, 2005

I'm trying new style out. It's a lot more simple than anything I've ever written before and it's actually somewhat understandable now, if you can believe it, haha. Some feedback would be greatly appreciated.

They walk. There, over there,
Through the crowded disaster
They all flee towards the scene where life began and ended so solemnly
It was there, right there,
Next to the tree
And I remember it so well
Picturing it in my mind was all I could do,
But it was all I needed to do
It was what I knew
It was all I could see and hear
Sometimes, when it was really late and my happiness was reticent
(as it always was or at least seemed to be),
I would dream about it and it would break my heart again and again
I knew it would happen again.
I knew it.
I was right
