Growing up changes everything

by *DyInGfRoMtHeInSiDe*   Jun 27, 2005

Blank faces in the hallways,
Faded smiles from friends,
Relationships falling apart,
As this chapter ends.
Best friends don’t speak,
Every memory forgot,
So many knives in the back,
Any chance of being there, shot.
No longer care about feelings,
The promises they made,
All secrets shared, lost,
As the pages fade.
This is what happens in life,
As we travel along the way,
People drift apart,
And have nothing more to say.

**this is what has happened in high school to me and my friends, we don't speak often and when we do it's usually mean**
