Killing

by Brook   Jun 28, 2005

You are killing her
Slowly over and over again
Why do you continue to hurt her
If you still care?

It kills me, to see her like this
Just stop please...
Her life is already amiss.

Parents fighting,
She's always hurting.
Your added pain and guilt
Doesn't help anyone,
Admit it, not even you.

You lie, she pleads
She cries, she bleeds.
All she does is hurt

And it kills me so
For you, this is an all time low.
Yes, you two are over
I wish you could see
She moved on
And we are all glad she did

You caused some of her pain
Hurting her deep inside
Marks on the outside
From that dreadful night
Scars on her heart
From the times you let her down

All she does now is frown
That beautiful smile
We saw everyday
Disappeared now
She can't hide away

Hurt deep inside,
Where no one can reach
You killed her
Selfishness won over love
How does that work
Your first everything, hers too
She gave you all

You took it and threw it away
Now her and you pay
The pain you both feel
Is the price for first loves
That never die away.
