Alone: In bad company

by Daniel J   Jun 28, 2005

It's more of a song than a poem. I lie. I wrote it as a song, therefore It IS a song. First attempt at a song of this kind. Second attempt at a song at all.
Please vote. And I want honest opinions, none of this namby-pamby "I'll give you 5 because I want you to give me 5 too." And don't hesitate to comment. Thanks.

And I am all alone now,
In bad company,
What is this disgrace,
Tears running down my face...

Looking up,
Looking down,
Looking everywhere around,
Standing here, in the rain,
Oh, I'm alone again!

You left me here,
By myself,
Heart broken up in two,
And I am at a loss,
For just what to do...

And I am all alone now,
In bad company,
What is this disgrace,
Tears running down my face...

You had gone,
Leaving me,
There's someone else you liked,
And I don't want you to know,
That I still love you so...

Stay away,
Don't come near,
Go far away from here,
'Cos I don't need you anymore,
Walk right through the door,
I'm locking you out of my heart...

And I am all alone now,
In bad company,
What is this disgrace,
Tears running down my face...

Looking up,
Looking down,
Raising eyes from the ground,
What is this I see,
Someone wants to be with me...

And now,
Though I'm really not alone,
And found some company,
They simply are not you.
(They simply are not you.)

And I am all alone now,
With someone who isn't you.
