We, You and I

by Daniel J   Mar 7, 2007

We talk,
You make me smile,
We joke,
You make me laugh,
We touch,
You melt my heart.

You smile,
I've smiled with you,
You laugh,
I'm laughing too,
You stare,
I'd hold your gaze.

You leave,
You break my heart,
You laugh,
You stab me hard,
You smile,
You turn your back.

I wish
I'd tell you all,
I think
I may have done,
I hope
You change your mind.

This poem is a very simple form, but I think it adds to the meaning. It gives it a sharper, straight-to-the-point kind of tone. I was a little confused by your word choice in the last stanza, but I know you're talented and you know your stuff, so I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it. I just can't think straight today lol.

Very good Daniel- I always look forward to reading your work. Take care.xx
