Look at me now

Look at me closely,
And you will see
I'm not the girl,
I'm pretending to be.

Look into my eyes,
And you will realise
How much anger and pain,
I've kept hidden inside.

Look at my wrists,
And scars will show
Many stories,
I've been afraid to tell.

Maybe when i'm dead,
You will realise
This sorrow and shame,
I didn't want to explain.
