Daydream

by Temptation   Jun 29, 2005

We've really got to talk, you & me, on our own
It needs to be face to face I can't do it on the phone
There's so much I need to tell you, words I have to say
You don't have to come to mine, how about we meet halfway?
As I walk to meet you I stare down at my feet
I lift my eyes to see you standing on the corner of my street
Suddenly I can't move, I'm frozen to the spot
My whole body starts to shake & my face is burning hot
I know that this may hurt but it really must be said
Regaining control I walk on & raise my head
On my approach you say, "Alright?" & I think how could I be?
But I reply, "You could say that. Now I need you to listen to me,
I've brought you here tonight by order of my heart
Because it keeps telling me that you've owned it from the start
The poor thing beats only for you
Despite the pain you put it through
Not only that but I think you'll find
Every second of every day it's you that's on mt mind
Recently I've found that I've lost all control
I love you with my heart, mind, body & soul
So please never doubt me, what I say is true
I'm so in love with you, please say you love me too!"
As he opens his mouth to tell me how he feels
My phone goes off & I know this isn't real
It's just an imagining, I'm really in my room
Hoping my daydream wil come true soon
I reach for my phone as a text has just come through
But am forever disappointed when the text is not from you!
