My Hero~My Best Friend

There are heroes who walk among us; never looking for glory or praise
they don't seek recognition, for their thoughtful and caring ways

They help everyday people, by the love and compassion they have shown
But I don’t need anyone else, for I have a hero of my own

Jess, you may not consider yourself, but you may very well be
a leader, a winner, an inspiration for all the world to see

But if not to the world, you are a hero in my eyes
You are like my guardian angel watching from the skies

You make me feel so special, by all the thoughtful things that you do
by sharing your love and your life, your are a friend so true

You are always there, whether It’s seemed I have needed you or not
The hope you’ve given me, the love and friendship, I haven’t forgot

In a world of darkness,
you are my light
On a hot summer’s day, you are the cool refreshing night

For all the things you are, for all the things you’ve done
I have no clue how to repay you, not even just for one

So this I say to you, if you ever feel alone, just wish upon a star
For I will be that friend who is never afar

For it is a great debt
that to you I owe
There is nothing in this world that can make me let this friendship go
