Dear Critic/Dear Rachel

by Avrii Monrielle   Jul 3, 2005

Dear Critic,

We die today,
We live tomorrow,
How come our worlds filled with so much sorrow?

Why do people go and jump off buildings?
Why do they take drugs?
Why do I hear the word cutting so much?
That word only used to be for wood logs

My best friend was about to suicide
I stopped him just in time
Then he broke my heart by telling me
That he wanted to die all the while

Why don\'t people realize that its okay to be fat?
Why do people hurt so much when they just need to realize that?
Why are we put down so much and filled with so much shame?
Sir,what\'s the world coming to,filled with so much blame?

~Sincerely,
Rachel
-----------------
Dear Rachel,

I am sorry to hear of your best friend\'s attempted suicide,
I am sorry to know about all this blame,
Rachel, the word for this is depression
Once you have it you\'ll never be the same

The only way for a cure
Is to always give them love
They\'ll get well if you\'re there for them
Years to go,and so enough...

Rachel,they have a yearning
The people on the streets
They want to make sure they\'re okay
Only their futures may they defeat

They cannot change the past,
All the sadistic people
They cannot stop the present,
These trying-to-help people

Respect them for their wishes, they can live with that
Its okay to have a reason,
To be anorexic is to say you\'re fat

Its not their faults for starting cuts,
it was the world and its abuse
We probably would be better off
If 2004-2005 was of no use

It hurts to say this
But you sound like one too
We all got hurt by depression
Thats a fact we can\'t refuse

Its going to be okay Rachel,
We will all be fine
Don\'t worry Rachel...
This happens all the time

Forgive them for their worries
Lift them from their fears
Give them love they never felt
And continue to for years

~Sincerely,
Critic
